Just among the new series's, which assistant do you think was introduced in the best way? I rather like the way that DOnna first came to the Doctor's attention, by materialising directly into his TARDIS on her wedding day! Amy's entrance was pretty good too, with the young Amy who felt abandoned by her 'raggedy doctor' .. something which perhaps sets the tone of their entire relationship.

I don't like that mechanism, which they also used in other episodes. The police box is a portal and the TARDIS does not occupy the space in that way.

Hmm I am sure there was at least one other episode when someone just teleported into the ship, tho granted I can't remember what it was. But I remember the Doctor being ticked off  |
