Just finished watching Rose. As a story I don't think that this is particularly strong but as a way of getting to grips with the main characters it's great. I feel for Mickey in this episode though - neither Rose nor the Doctor seems to treat him very well.

Heh I like the humour in this one Love that they bring out a jukebox and call it an 'ipod'. Nice to see the Doctor flirting with the tree woman too |

Ep two finished. Interesting ending, where the Doctor lets Cassandra die. A later doctor would not, I think, have done that. It shows that this Doctor is still 'raw' from the effects of the Time War. Nice to see the Face of Bo for the first time too.

Dunno if it was just me, with my Heretical viewpoint.. but... when I first saw the Face of Bo, I saw , and stil;l see, a certain quality of Hartnells features in it.
Before the Harkness reference later, made me wonder if Bo would turn out to actually be The Doctor himself.

I don't normally like it when TV shows try to put historical figures into programmes .. it can end up being totally cringey. I do think that DIckens works quite well tho. This is quite a strong storyline and it's interesting to see the Doctor make a complete and total mistake - and one that ends up causing a young woman's death

Just got to the bit where the Doctor is insisting that the Gelf be given the dead bodies and Rose is arguing against it. He gets pretty nasty  . I can only presume that he is attempting to atone for what we much later learn that he did during the Time War. |

I missed it but I do like Christopher E. But he is older than the next ones. The person playing him I mean and not the Doctor because his Doctor is supposed to be pretty young.

Just finished "The End of the World". Dang, I love Chris Eccleston. He showed the pain without being overly soppy, it was just all in his eyes. Oh and how do I change my avatar?
