I know that I am possibly over analysing but I was slightly taken aback when I realised that Amy and Rory's daughter Melody was in fact River Song. Just seems a bit weird that, on his time-line at least, one minute he was holding he as a tiny baby and the next she was an adult and they were lovers. Granted he had very limited interaction with her in the interim (on her time-line) though.. they met briefly when she was a young girl and that was pretty much it
